Mirroring Scientific Linux

We encourage groups and organizations to mirror the Scientific Linux distribution, and then point their automatic updater (Yum) to that local mirror.
You do NOT have to put your mirror site on our public list. That is on a volunteer basis only. However, you must subscribe to the scientific-linux-mirrors list to stay informed of any important announcements related to the mirroring process.

We ask, but do not enforce, that non-public mirrors utilize one of the rsync servers provided by our public mirrors.
